電車＋バスの概要

このルートはナポリ中心部から公共交通機関で最速の組み合わせです。ソレント行きチルクムヴェズヴィアーナ鉄道に乗り、SITA バスでポジターノへ向かいます。ナポリ空港発の移動は含まれていません。

ソレント行きのチルクムヴェズヴィアーナ列車はナポリ・チェントラーレの地下にあるナポリ・ガリバルディ駅から出発します。プラットフォームに降りる前にチケットを購入し、利用するホームを確認してソレント方面行きの列車に乗車しましょう。

ソレントに到着したら駅を出て、近くのバーや新聞スタンド、タバッキで SITA バスのチケットを購入します（バス車内では販売されません）。SITA の停留所は駅前の階段を下りた場所にあり、アマルフィ方面行きのバスに乗車してポジターノまで向かいます。

SITA 時刻表の読み方

SITA の時刻表は少し分かりにくいので、以下のポイントを参考に正しい便を見つけましょう。

ポジターノのバス停

最寄りの停留所はポジターノ（キエーザ・ヌオーヴァ）で、ホステルから約140メートル（約490フィート）です。

停留所は Bar Internazionale というカフェ／バーの外にあります。

バスは道路レベルで降車するため、長い階段を上る必要はありません。

Luggage and comfort tips

Both the Circumvesuviana train and SITA bus have limited luggage space, especially during peak season. If you're traveling with a large backpack or suitcase, board early to secure a spot near the luggage racks. On the train, luggage racks are near the doors at each end of the carriage. On the bus, there's a small luggage area at the back, but it fills quickly. Large suitcases may need to be placed in the aisle during busy periods. Keep valuables with you — petty theft can occur on crowded trains, particularly during peak tourist season. The Circumvesuviana has basic facilities (no toilets, no air conditioning on older trains). Bring water, especially in summer. The SITA bus has no toilet either, so use facilities at Sorrento station before boarding. There's a small cafe at the station with restrooms. Alternative routes and backup plans

If trains or buses are delayed, canceled, or too crowded, you have several backup options: (1) The direct Curreri bus runs from Naples city center to Positano (€10-15, 90 minutes) but schedules are limited. (2) You can take a ferry from Naples port to Positano (April-October only, €20-25, 90 minutes) — see our ferry arrivals guide. (3) Private transfers cost €100-140 but provide door-to-door service with no waiting. (4) If you miss the last bus from Sorrento (usually around 8-9pm depending on season), you can take a taxi to Positano (€80-100, 30 minutes). Always check the last bus time before leaving Naples. On Sundays and holidays, services are reduced — plan extra time and check timetables in advance.

What to expect on the journey

The Circumvesuviana is a commuter train, not a tourist service. Expect basic conditions: hard plastic seats, no air conditioning on older trains, and crowded carriages during rush hour (7-9am, 5-8pm). In summer, the train can be very hot. Bring water and dress in layers. The train windows open, providing some ventilation, but carriages can still be uncomfortable in peak heat. Many locals stand near the doors for better airflow. The SITA bus journey is spectacular but nerve-wracking if you're not used to narrow coastal roads. Drivers are experienced and make this journey multiple times daily, but the road has tight bends and steep drops with minimal barriers. Sit on the right side for the best views of the coastline (and less exposure to the cliff edge if heights make you nervous). Both services run year-round, but winter schedules (November-March) are significantly reduced. Summer schedules (April-October) are frequent and reliable, though buses can fill up by mid-morning in peak season (July-August).
