From Brikette through Chiesa Nuova to the beach
Start at Hostel Brikette, Via Guglielmo Marconi 358. Descend the entrance stairs, turn left along the main-road approach and continue toward Bar Internazionale. The approximately 120 m / 390 ft road leg is separate from the entrance stairs.
From Chiesa Nuova, follow the existing downhill street-and-stair route to the pedestrian centre and Spiaggia Grande. Use the numbered walking photographs for the turns and crossings, alongside current signs and access conditions.
Pause fully out of the walking line for views or photos. Keep stair entrances, shop doors and delivery routes clear; do not enter private terraces to find a viewpoint.

Plan the uphill return
For a bus-assisted return from beach level, use the dock-to-hostel local-bus route. Check the council’s transport page and the operator for your date, tickets and usable final service. Local Interno and inter-town SITA are separate.
From Positano's beach-level ferry dock, walk up to Piazza dei Mulini, take the local Interno Positano bus to Chiesa Nuova, and get off beside Tabacchi Cafiero on Viale Pasitea. Walk up to Via Guglielmo Marconi, then continue toward Hostel Brikette at number 358 and climb the entrance stairs.
What to carry and how much time to allow
Wear shoes with grip and carry water, sun protection and a manageable bag. Allow for wet steps, heat, daylight and your walking ability before choosing the full descent.
