Evenings in Positano

Updated Oct 27, 2026ExperiencesAbout the Brikette team

Overview

An overnight stay gives you time to choose the kind of evening you actually want: a sunset, an unhurried meal or a night out. Positano venues and transport change by date and season, so check the current details before leaving.

Hostel Brikette is near Chiesa Nuova on the upper road. Plan the return before you go downhill, and keep a quiet evening at the hostel as a valid option.

A quiet evening

Start with the view from the hostel terrace if it suits the weather and guest access on your stay. The terrace and bar are shared spaces: you can talk with other travellers or keep your own plans. See the terrace sunset guide for the property-specific details.

For dinner, use the current recommendations and menus from venues you are considering. C'era Una Volta is a useful pizza and value option close to the hostel; see the [official C'era Una Volta website](https://www.ristoranteceraunavolta-positano.com/) and check opening information before walking over. Gabrisa is a special-meal choice where food and the view are part of the occasion; see its [official sea-view restaurant page](https://www.villagabrisa.it/en/sea-view-restaurant-in-positano), which says the restaurant season runs April–October, and check the current menu, booking and opening details for your date.

These are options, not a fixed hostel programme. The best plan depends on the weather, your budget and what is open on your date.

If you want to go out

Music on the Rocks is an established Positano venue. Check the [official Music on the Rocks website](https://www.musicontherocks.it/) for current opening, event and entry information for your date; listing hours do not guarantee that a particular future night will be running.

Decide how you will return before you leave. Check the latest SITA Sud and local transport information, and do not assume a late bus or ferry will be available. A venue's closing time and the last practical connection are separate questions.

If transport or weather becomes uncertain, change the plan. A meal, terrace time or an earlier return may fit the evening better than trying to force a late connection.

Returning uphill to Brikette

Brikette is near the Bar Internazionale / Chiesa Nuova bus-stop landmark, about 120 m along the main road. The entrance has stairs, and the approach from the waterfront is uphill. Allow for the walk, bags and the conditions after dark.

Follow the current house rules for quiet and re-entry, and ask reception if you are unsure about the practical arrangement for your stay. Reception is staffed 08:00–23:30; staffed support is different from guest access outside those hours.

Read the Chiesa Nuova arrival guide and solo travel guide for the wider location and planning context.

Choose an evening that fits your stay

Choose the quiet plan when you want a view, dinner and an easy return. Choose going out when the venue, entry information and return plan all work for your date. Either way, check the selected room and dates at the rooms page if having a night in Positano is part of the decision.

What a drink costs: a dated, specific example

Brikette's published 2026 bar menu listed the following when checked on 27 October 2026. These are menu examples for this property, not city-wide averages or guaranteed future prices. [R03-4]

The menu itself asks guests to confirm current items and prices at the bar. A listed drink does not establish that it is included in your room rate.

As simple arithmetic, two separately purchased €10 drinks would be €20 before food, any admission and transport. That calculation is not a recommended amount to drink or an estimate of a complete night out. It shows why the final budget should contain more than a single menu price.

For a non-alcoholic evening, check the current options directly rather than assuming every published cocktail has an equivalent alcohol-free version at the same price.

ItemPublished menu price at the research date
Aperol Spritz€10
Limoncello Spritz€10
Peroni, 330 ml€4.50
House wine, one glass€5.50

Tips

  • Check venue opening and menu information for your exact date.
  • Use C'era Una Volta for a close pizza option only after checking its official website and current details.
  • Check Gabrisa's current booking and menu information for a special meal.
  • Check the official Music on the Rocks website directly for events and entry.
  • Plan the uphill return before going out.
  • Follow the current house rules for quiet and re-entry.

FAQs

Does Brikette run nightly events?

This guide does not promise a nightly programme. The terrace and bar are shared spaces, and the atmosphere varies by guests and date.

Is Music on the Rocks open every night?

Do not assume that. Check the venue's official current page for opening, events and entry information for your date.

Is there a late bus back to the hostel?

Do not rely on a late service. Check current SITA Sud and local transport information, then make a return plan before leaving.

What if I prefer a quiet evening?

The terrace, bar and a planned dinner can suit a quieter night. Check guest access and current house rules for your stay.
