To reach Hostel Brikette from Ravello by public bus, take a SITA 5110 journey to Amalfi, then change to a 5070 service serving Positano's Chiesa Nuova stop. From Bar Internazionale, the hostel is about 120 m along the main road, followed by entrance stairs.

This journey needs two buses. Read both dated timetables and allow time for the change in Amalfi. There is no protected connection or guaranteed total journey time.
For the Positano leg, choose a service that actually calls at Chiesa Nuova; a Sorrento destination display alone is not enough. The Amalfi-to-Positano guide explains that leg in detail.
Buy tickets for both legs before boarding
Use SITA's ticket and validation guidance to buy the appropriate tickets through an authorised retailer or supported Unico Campania digital channel. Ask for the complete journey via Amalfi and any return you need. Do not rely on buying from the driver.
Validate paper tickets, or activate/check in with the app, as required for the product and each bus; keep the tickets for inspection. The personal COSTIERASITA pass runs for 24 hours from first validation and requires the passenger details specified by SITA. Check its current coverage and price against separate tickets; it does not automatically include Positano's Interno service.
Fares changed on 1 October 2026. Use current operator ticket information rather than an old online fare. A ticket does not guarantee a seat or the connection in Amalfi.
Read both timetables for your travel date
Open the official 5110 timetable and official 5070 timetable. Check the validity period, direction, day legend and footnotes. The version checked on 26 October covers 5 October–1 November 2026; use the replacement for later travel.
Read each chosen journey down one column. In the checked table F means working days Monday–Saturday, H Sundays/holidays, G daily, S school days, N non-school days, L Monday–Friday and 6 Saturday. These are service-day codes, not unique journey letters.
The 5110 table includes branches through Scala and its hamlets, repeated Ravello rows and gaps. Follow the actual sequence for your selected column; do not combine different columns or assume every Scala service serves your Ravello stop.
Check SITA's notices alongside the PDF. Experimental school-service changes took effect on 5 October. Traffic, queues and full buses can change your usable connection, so leave a buffer and identify a later option.
Use the central Ravello bus area and check the signed stop
Largo Giovanni Boccaccio is the central bus area near the pedestrian passage toward Piazza Duomo. The municipal street layout identifies a scheduled-bus boarding area there, but it does not establish today's exact SITA bay. Follow current signs and ask the driver which Ravello stop your journey serves.
Do not rely on an old Via della Marra map pin: SITA published a suspension notice for the stop by Galleria Nuova. That open-ended March notice is a reason to confirm the current stop, not proof that it remains closed today.
Take 5110 to Amalfi and change for Positano
Before boarding in Ravello, confirm 'Amalfi' and the appropriate departure with the driver. Check that your selected column starts from the Ravello stop you are using rather than another point on a Scala branch. Follow ticket validation or app check-in instructions and keep bags clear of exits.
At Amalfi, collect any hold luggage and find the current signed SITA departure for Positano/Sorrento. Confirm that the 5070 journey calls at Chiesa Nuova. Do not rely on a fixed stand number, a guaranteed short connection or the next bus being able to take you.
Request Chiesa Nuova near Bar Internazionale
Ask for 'Positano (Chiesa Nuova), per favore' when boarding. Prepare before the stop and use the stop-request button if provided, following the driver's instructions.
Chiesa Nuova on Via Guglielmo Marconi is different from Sponda and the Interno stop beside Tabacchi Cafiero on Viale Pasitea. If you miss it, get off only at a designated stop and reassess; do not assume your ticket includes a return journey.
Follow the final 120 m and entrance stairs
From the Bar Internazionale landmark, follow Via Guglielmo Marconi toward number 358 for about 120 m / 390 ft. Look for the Hostel Brikette sign, continue around the bend and take the entrance stairs on the right. The road distance excludes those stairs.
Use the photographed Chiesa Nuova arrival guide for the full approach. Allow time for bags, narrow pavement and crossings; arrival is not step-free.
Luggage and arrival-day bag drop
Check SITA's current baggage conditions. Non-obstructing hand baggage up to 50 × 30 × 25 cm is free under the published rules; other bags require a baggage ticket. Larger bags depend on suitable luggage-bay space. Handle your own bags and keep aisles and exits clear.
If you need help carrying bags, agree porter assistance separately: provider, collection, delivery, timing and full charge. A bus ticket does not reserve luggage space, and bag transport does not remove the hostel's entrance stairs.
Arrival-day bag drop starts at 10:30 for checking-in guests, subject to space. Enrol through the guest app; the hostel must receive your agreement to the terms. Follow the luggage-storage conditions. Bag drop does not give early room access.
Allow time to reach reception
Room check-in is 15:00–22:00. If queues, traffic or a missed transfer could make you late, contact the hostel promptly and check the arrival requirements. Do not assume late self-service check-in.
