Bus to Laurito Beach

Reaching Laurito Beach from Hostel Brikette is simplest on the blue SITA Amalfi Coast bus that stops at Chiesa Nuova.

Use this guide to find the stop, buy tickets, ride to Laurito, and follow the final stairs down to the water.

Go to the Chiesa Nuova bus stop

Exit Hostel Brikette through the main door and walk down the steps to Viale Pasitea.

Turn left toward the Chiesa Nuova neighbourhood; the bus stop sits beside Bar Internazionale about 100 metres (330 feet) away.

Spot the blue-and-white SITA sign outside the bar — this is the Amalfi Coast line toward Praiano and Amalfi.

Buy Amalfi Coast bus tickets

Go inside Bar Internazionale (the tabacchi/newsagent) to buy tickets for the Amalfi Coast bus.

Purchase enough tickets for the outbound and return journeys; Laurito has no ticket sellers.

Keep the tickets ready but validate them only once you board.

Wait on the opposite side of the road

Cross to the opposite side of Viale Pasitea after buying your ticket.

Stand in the pull-in area facing Amalfi so the driver can see you and raise your hand to signal the stop.

Use the posted timetable or a quick photo of the schedule to double-check the next departures.

Ride toward Laurito

Board the blue SITA bus marked for Amalfi or Praiano when it arrives.

Stay alert as the coach makes request stops around Positano; press the button shortly before you reach Laurito.

Expect the ride to cover roughly 4.1 kilometres (2.5 miles) and around 10 minutes after the Positano Sponda stop.

Walk down to the beach

Step off at the Laurito stop beside the stairway down to the beach access road.

Walk a few metres back in the direction the bus came from and look for the signposted staircase on the seaward side.

Descend carefully — the steps are steep and can be slippery; sturdy footwear helps.

Bus tips

  • The printed timetable lists Positano times but not Laurito; plan on Laurito being about 10 minutes after Sponda when leaving town.
  • Buy your return ticket before you leave — there are no shops near the beach to sell extras.
  • Follow the bus-back guide when you are ready to return uphill.
  • Check our Positano beaches overview for details on Laurito facilities and shuttle boats.
