Buses are operated by SITA Sud. Buy tickets at newsstands or tobacco shops (including at Bar Internazionale). Have your ticket ready when boarding so the driver can validate it.

Positano (Chiesa Nuova) bus stop

  • The nearest bus stop is in the ‘Chiesa Nuova’ area of Positano.
  • It is approximately 140 metres (490 feet) from the hostel.
  • The stop is outside the cafe/bar called ‘Bar Internazionale’.

Walk from the hostel to the stop

  • Exit the hostel through the main door and go down the steps to the road.
  • Turn left and walk about 100 metres (330 feet).
  • You’ll see ‘Bar Internazionale’ on the left; the SITA stop is outside.

Buy your ticket and wait for boarding

  • Buy a ticket for the bus to Sorrento (inside the bar/newsstand).
  • Wait outside the bar for the Sorrento-bound bus.
  • Double-check the bus destination display reads ‘Sorrento’.

Arriving in Sorrento

The SITA bus drops you at Sorrento’s combined train and bus terminal. From here, continue by Circumvesuviana to Naples or explore Sorrento’s historic centre just beyond the station.
